ModPlayerJS

ModPlayerJS is a player that runs in your browser for .MOD music files (the mainstay of Amiga and PC sample-based music circa 1990). This worked for me in Chrome browser but failed to work on Firefox.

A good example of MOD music and what the player can do is to play 1DASBOOT.MOD with it (compare to original U96 – Das Boot).

This reminds me somewhat of Flame Party event few years back where me and my friend coded a small demo that played MIDI files with JavaScript software synthesis. Our code worked on Firefox but sound failed to work on other browsers.

This all proves that JavaScript can nowadays play audio files and do quite bit of audio processing.
