    A simple Arduino UNO based caller ID unit which displays the telephone number and date/time sent by the telephone exchange.

    CLI, also known as Caller ID and calling number delivery (CND), is a service offered by the telephone service provider to customers to obtain the calling party number and date/time of the call. The service activation and information format of CLI are different from telephone network operator to operator.

    In this project, we will create a small Caller ID decoder using Arduino UNO and a custom-made HT9032D module.

    The core component of the project is the HT9032D, which can decode incoming call ID data over a telephone connection. This IC supports Bell 202 FSK and ITU-T version 2.3 CLI protocol specifications.

    The best streamers keep their audience constantly engaged. They might be making quips and doing the funny voices that everyone expects them to do, but they’re also busy reading chat messages aloud and responding, managing different scenes and transitions, and so on. Many streamers use a type of macro keyboard called a stream deck to greatly improve the experience of juggling all those broadcasting balls.

    Sure, there are dedicated commercial versions, but they’re kind of expensive. And what’s the fun in that, anyway? A stream deck is a great candidate for DIY because you can highly personalize the one you make yourself. Give it clicky switches, if that’s what your ears and fingers want. Or don’t. It’s your macro keyboard, after all.

    The simplest way to construct a keyboard is to devote a key to every possible character. But that would require 63 keys just for lowercase letters, capital letters, numbers, and spaces — before including punctuation, special characters, or necessary function keys like backspace.     Heat pump heating technology is starting to pop up more and more lately, as the technology becomes cheaper and public awareness and acceptance improves. Touted as a greener residential heating system, they are rapidly gaining popularity, at least in part due to various government green policies and tax breaks.

    [Gonzho] has been busy the last few years working on his own Arduino Powered Open Source heat pump controller, and the project logs show some nice details of what it takes to start experimenting with heat pumps in general, if that’s your game. Or you could use this to give an old system a new lease of life with an Arduino brain transplant.
