Tekoäly ei ole erehtymätön
Laajojen kielimallien kohdalla tekoäly saattaa satunnaisesti hallusinoida, eli keksiä asioita. Se saattaa antaa hyvinkin järkevän kuuloista tekstiä, mikä ei sitten pidäkään paikkaansa. Tekoäly ei siis ole erehtymätön. Sen tarjoamaan tietoon tulee näin ollen suhtautua varauksella. Tämä ei tarkoita, etteikö tekoälyn käytöllä voisi saavuttaa kiistattomia etuja.
– Tekoälyssä kannattaa erottaa autonominen ja avustava tekoäly. Avustavalla tekoälyllä viitataan siihen, että ihminen hyödyntää tekoälyn ominaisuuksia kirjoitustyössä. Avustavalla tekoälyllä voidaan luoda esimerkiksi tekstirunko, jota ihminen tämän jälkeen lähtee syventämään.
Tekijänoikeudellinen asema vaihtelee
Nykyisen lainsäädännön mukaan tekoälyn sellaisenaan tuottama teksti ei nauti tekijänoikeudellista suojaa. Toisaalta ihmisen tekoälyavusteisesti tuottama teksti, kuva tai vastaava teos voi nauttia tekijänoikeudellista suojaa.
– Tätä voisi verrata vaikka siihen, että ihmisen rannalta löytämä simpukka ei ole tekijänoikeudella suojattu, mutta kun simpukka liitetään osaksi ihmisen luomaa taideteosta, kokonaisuus voi saada tekijänoikeussuojan, Kallioniemi sanoo.
Imitoiminen helppoa
Kallioniemen mukaan tekoäly tulee muokkaamaan uusiksi taiteen ja viihteen kentän. Se pystyy tuottamaan elokuvakäsikirjoituksia, viihderomaaneja tai vaikka loputtomasti Johan Sebastian Bachin tyylisiä kappaleita. Eri esittäjien tai kirjailijoiden tyylin imitoiminen onnistuu tekoälyltä helposti.
– Jos jotakin säännönmukaisuutta on, tekoäly kykenee löytämään sen helposti. Tämän pohjalta se kykenee luomaan uutta, hyvin autenttisen kuuloista materiaalia, Kallioniemi kertoo.
– Toisin kuin patenttisuoja, tekijänoikeudellinen suoja ei edellytä absoluuttista ainutkertaisuutta. Se että jossain on useita samanlaisia tuotoksia on ilman muuta mahdollista, Kallioniemi sanoo.
– Jos jossain on ihminen, jolla on hyvä tarina, mutta ei kykyä kertoa sitä itse, tekoälyn avulla tuo henkilö voi saattaa tarinansa kirjalliseen muotoon. Sama tietysti koskee yhtä lailla säveltämistä tai kuvataidetta.
