Using radio shack component for my project
I have designed most of my circuits from standard European components. Some people have had problems in finding suitalbe components in USA from Radio Shack shops. Because many requests I finally wrote to Radio Shack Product Support and got the following list:
The listing of products for the components you list that are available in the United States is:
BC-547...........................276-2009 BC-557...........................276-2023 1N4148..........................276-1122 1N4001..........................276-1101 7805................................276-1770 78L05..............................N/A 74LS86...........................RSU # 10870988 TANDY PRODUCT SUPPORT CENTER CC/cdThe result was quite good, because almost all of them are are available. 74LS86 is not in normal shop selection, but can be ordered. 78L05 was not in Radio Shack selection, but you can always use 7805 to replace it.
NOTE: On tranasitors be warned to check the pinout of the transisotr, because I don't know if the pinpout of the replacement transistors is the same or different than what I have used in my circuits.
How to get Radio Shack components outside USA
