RGB to composite video conversion kits
There are various electronics companies which make different electronics kits. Some of those companies make also kits which can convert RGB composite vidoe signals to either PAL or NTSC composite video. If you are not an experienced hobbyis who knows how to make your own design/circuit board then a ready made kit might be an easier (though usually more expensive) alternative.
Nothe that the list listed are onlyh electronics kits which can do the RGB to composite vidoe conversion. They are not designed for this project, so you might need to do some of your own additions/modifications to work those with this VGA to TV project.
RGB to PAL conversion
- K4600 VIDEO and RGB PROCESSOR from Velleman - PAL video to RGB and RGB to PAL video conversion
PAL video modulators
- K4601 Audio/video TV modulator from Velleman - audio and video signals are converted into a UHF TV signal so that the signal can be received through the TV antenna input
- PAL color encoder kit LU74R from Maplin - featured in July 1997 issue of Electronics & Beyond magazine, includers RF-modulator
Other ideas for doing RGB to composite video conversion
- Amiga TV modulator has an RGB to composite video converter (built around MC1377) and RF modulator in one quite small package. This converter will need an external clock signal from Amiga or otherwise you will not got any colors.
- Video Encoder for Amstrad CPC is a low quality RGB to composite vidoe circuit based on LM1377 due to not having a luminance delay line
