GTF XFree86 modeline generator

The GTF XFree86 modeline generator is a utility for calculating VESA GTF modes. Given the desired horizontal and vertical resolutions and refresh rate (in Hz), the parameters for a matching VESA GTF mode are printed out. Two output formats are supported: mode lines suitable for the XFree86 XF86Config(5x) file, and mode parameters suitable for the Linux fbset(8) utility. The software is freely distributed as C language source code at http://gtf.sourceforge.net/. Check also gtf(1) - Linux man page.

XFree86 Modeline Generator at http://xtiming.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/xtiming.pl is a good tool for generating XFree86 modelines on-line. Just enter your monitor specifications and you get modelines out. The modelines generated by this tool can be imported to Screen timing calculator and configuration file generator if you want to adjust them.
