before building the power strip,EMF/RMF filters,surge devices etc.
THe problem is not always in the surge in the power coming to
the vice, bu in the surge which gets to thr grounding
between the equipments from the other parts of the house.
Usually if you have grounded equipments (3 connector mains plug
and 3 wire mains cable) and connection to antenna network,
ypu sually have a "ground loop" situation, in which the 
all kinds of noise (mains frequency humming noise, clicking)
gets easily through to the system and mains filters do not provide
much help on this.

My advice is to get thr wiring and grounding in the equipments
right first (http://www.epanorama.net/documents/groundloop/).
If that does not help, then try some filtering either in 
the equipment poer source or in the noise source, whatever
is more practical and more effective.
