What do they mean by this "act like transmission lines". This sounds like just another marketing bullshit comment. Home audio systems do not use matched transmission lines in any analogue audio cables! Transmission lines as understood in radio and telecommunication technology are not used in home audio system for speaker cable or analogue systems interconnections. The cables are so short that they do not act like transmission lines, signal sources and receivers are not matched to any specific line impedance. (digital interconnections carry higher frequencies and use impedance matching and transmission line technologies). All of the this type of clais that some special cable acts like a special transmission line I have seen have been technically wrong! > Whether we believe in their design philosophy or > not, their electronics aound BETTER with those cables - and I have other > cables that mate specifically better with certain electronics - Sounds link a shitty electronics design if it needs something very special cable design to work right! Maybe those work better with some very rare devices, but does it prove that for rest of the equipments in thr world that would make any difference! -- Tomi Engdahl (http://www.iki.fi/then/) Take a look at my electronics web links and documents at http://www.epanorama.net/
