I don't know. At least they are quite good in copying the products. They take a good products (quite oftem Mackie on mixers), copy the basic construction, add some features and then sell it at around half of the price of the original (or even cheaper). Maybe German reverse-engineering and construction lines in china are good combination ;-) Their mixes seem to be quite much like copied products, but they have also some quite unique products on their line, one example is Behringer Ultracurve. It seems not to be a direct copy of anythign on the market at that time it came out. > >(http://www.behringer.de/eng/products/dj-mixer.htm). > Looks impressive. The features of having balanced XLR output seemed to be a good idea. > BTW: Even with brands like Behringer, you'll always get what you pay for. > The prices of their equipment are too low to believe. BUT, their X-over f.i. has terrible Thise products seem not to be soo good quality than their much more expensive "origianl versions", but very good for the price I think. For example Mackie mixers seem to be better constructed mechanically than the Behringers I have seen, but the proce differrence is quite huge. And there are some drawbacks on their Ultracurve also (some software bugs and some other problems, but sill a good produt for proce, maybe better quality control would be nice). > (BTW, pardon the spelling errors, my spelling checker isn't working anymore > since I switched to NT4 (it says things like "unknown language" ;-)) Pardon the spelling errors in my text. I don't use spelling checker. (anyone have good one for GNUS newsreader ?) -- Tomi Engdahl (http://www.iki.fi/then/) Take a look at my electronics web pages at http://www.hut.fi/Misc/Electronics/
