Mu Metal is the generic name for for a high-permeability, magnetically "soft" alloy used for magnetic shielding. It includes about 80% nickel and 15% iron, with the balance being copper, molybdenum or chromium, depending on the recipe being used. I have seen shielding boxes for industrial monitor made from mu metal advertised by some company. Those coudl help somewhat. > Will socalled Faraday Cage solve the problem? Most propably not. Faraday Cage is designed to shield against electrical fields. It is good at that, but not effective against low frequency magnetic fields. > Mumetals? They're expensive. Mu metals are one option. Sometimes just normal iron/steel sheets can help. > I have a gaussometer EMF reading read by a specialist from my gas electr > spupplier > > here it is - http://www.wolosik.com/pseg.jpg > > i have almost 12 miligausse in my place - how to lower it in a cheap way? > > i dont want LCD minitor > > Any links to EMF shields suppliers?
