Those colors could be used for many different thigns on different uses, but the most common configuration with video projectors is the following: RED: Right channel audio in (for built-in speakers in projector) WHITE: Left channel audio in (for built-in speakers in projector) YELLOW: Composite video input (for projector picture) > but my VCR only has scart sockets and a socket for a TV aerial. You can go to an electronics shop and buy SCART adapters that plug to SCART connector and give you those three connectors. Please be careful to get an adapter made for signal output (there is also different wiring for input) or one that is switchable for input/output (switch to output mode). Those adapters are generally available in to forms: small boxes with three RCA female connectors in them and cables that have three RCA male connectors in them. This kind of adapter should make the connection an easy job. If you want to slder one yourself, you can find information on SCART connector information and pinout at http://www.epanorama.net/links/videoconnector.html#scart My recommendation is to take a ready made cable if you can buy it at reasonable price. If you do this yourself, be preared to spend some time fiddling with the thing to get this to work if this is the first time you play with SCART connections. > My 28" LG Widescreen TV however does have these sockets on the side. Wherever route you select, get the parts you need to do the connection and then test the connection beforehand with your TV that you got all the wires correctly. It easier to debug this connection problem at home with your TV until you get the wiring right. Then mode near to the projector and just plug in the knwon good wires and set the projector otherwise working. > Any advice much appreciated in how to successfully get a picture up on the > big screen! > Thanks > Ian I have personally used connections tips I ahve given successfully to connect several different video sources with SCART to several different video projectors. -- Tomi Engdahl (http://www.iki.fi/then/) Take a look at my electronics web links and documents at http://www.epanorama.net/
