The major difference is the price and sales channel.
Generally those speaker cables are sold for the application where
people are willign to pay more, so they can make a product which
performs the same, looks a little bit better and charge 10 times more!

Word "Polarised" has nothign to do with speaker cable performance.
The sales people of expensive speaker cables try to invent 
new pseudo-scientific terms to describe some imaginary (non-real)
properties of the cable.

The answer is very often yes.
