You have faced a frequently encountered problem which seems not
to be mentioned in PC video card manuals. If the TV does
not support S-video and you try to use it you get a blac & white
picture. In this kind of case you need to go to composite
video format to be able to view color picture. To
go to composite video you need either composite video output
from the card or you need to convert that S-video to
composite video with some external adapter (www.svideo2rca.com sells,
http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/svideo2cvideo.html tells how to build).
This seems to be so much a frequently asked question that
maybe somebody should put up a FAQ list for this and solutions.
