USB itself is not suitable for networkign over that long distance. You sould need 40 hubs between those computers to go this distance, and with theis many devices other limitations propably also come to the way. Five meters is the maximum cable length allowed by the USB specification. You can achieve longer cable runs by inserting a hub every five meters. Or you can try chain Active Extension cables to attain the needed distance, but I doubt that no reasonaly avaialble active extender would be right for this. If your application is networking, I will recommend you to use standard network solution: Ethernet. It will be both better and cheaper in this kind of distance. For example with 10 Mbit/s and 100 Mbit/s Ethernet, two 100 meter lenghts of CAT5 cable and one HUB/switch in the middle will do the job nicely. -- Tomi Engdahl (http://www.iki.fi/then/) Take a look at my electronics web links and documents at http://www.epanorama.net/
