The actual USB standard defined two USB connector type A and B.
One of them is for computer end and other is for the peripherals.
Those are the connectors defined in standard, so they are
the sandardised connectors. So the cables which use those
connectors are are otherwise built to meed USB specifications
can be called standard USB cables.
Unfortunately not all manufacturers have used those standard
connectors for various reasons (reason could be anything
in the line that standard connector was to big or they just want
to be incompatible in connectors to be able to sell their
special device specifica accessory cables).
