You can buy UV Gels. You will need special bulbs designed to genereate UV. These UB bulbs will definately outperform any construction which uses normal light bubs and UV gels. You can make some kind of lousy UV effect with UV gels, but if want really good an bright UV effect you have to go to UV fluorescent tubes or special fixtured made to generate UV light (special gas discharge lamps). A normal lamp fitted with UV gel will give out a little but of real UV and more of that violet. A real UV bulb will give many times more of that real UV and much less of that visible violet, which makes the UV effect work much better. All the UV effect which have been made with UV gels I have seem have been much worse than what I ve seen with real UV bulbs. If you want to do do good effectm then you will definately need real UV bulbs. If you need to be very cheap nad eefect does not have to be good, then you might get around using some UV gels. -- Tomi Engdahl (http://www.iki.fi/then/) Take a look at my electronics web pages at http://www.hut.fi/Misc/Electronics/
