Normal test probes thate with the multimeter usually are not the best tools when measuring electronics circuits whereponents are placed tightly near each other.
Retractable Tip Test Probes are designed specifically for use in test and measurement of electronicponents in tight spaces with limited access. Those probes have very sharp hardened stainless steel tip that is 1 mm in diameter. The tip can extend up to 7,7 cm from the handle without having to disassemble any parts. The tip part that extends is covered with insulating material.
The probes are lightweight and the very thin wire is very flexible and nice to handle. The probes are not only for low voltage measurements. They are rated CAT II, 600V accroding European standard EN61010.
So it means that those are sauitable for general use, not just for low voltage measurements.
The product is supplied as a set of two probes, one black and one red.
I was very happy with the probes. They are easy to use and work well. beats the original multimeter probes in electronics work.
The only downside is that those probes are not free, they are quite costlypared to cheap general purpose miltimeter probes.
I don't feel that those probles might nto be the best for very heavy field use, the wire fells pretty thin meaning those miht not take abuse as well as the thicker less flexible cables.
