TRIAC DIMMER for R-loads, 60-300W, Rotary, Obsolete
The AD300V is an easy-to-use basic dimmer for incandescent lamps. The dimmer is available in several cover plate designs, as well as without coverplates for OEM customers.
The dimmer is equipped with a rotary switch. The lights are switched on by turning the knob. Light level is increased by turning the knob to the right.

My comments:
basically this is a wuite OK workign and lookign light dimmer that is reasonablhy priced. When new works as advertised, dims yoour lighs nicely.

But over the time the operation becomes unreliable. It feels like the dimmer potentiometer does not make anymore good comtact, meaning light sometimes not turning on when dimmer is turned on... flashing on when touching the dimmer control..
I have had two of those light dimmers in hormal household use. Both of them started to work unreliably after only aroudn one year of use! When the dimmer started to work badlly first, I though I had a bad unit. I got it replaced with a new one similar unit. Around one year later from that this second unit seemed to have the same problems... so the long time reliablity does not look too good. I don't recommend if you are looking for a long lasting product. This short dimmer life made me to change the dimmer brand when I replaced the second failed dimmer..

There seem to be also other people who have had problem with this, take a look at

The manufacturer web page says: "Please note: This is obsolete product and not available for new orders. Replacing product for AD300V is SP300."
My hope is that the new product is of better quality than this AD300V was.
