Enter the code exactly as it appears. All letters are case insensitive, there is no zero.

I got an HP1702 monitor without VGA cable, so I had to find out the pinout. I did it with help of datasheet of the image chip. You will have to open the monitor to see wire colors.
The internal VGA pinout is as follows:
Pin Signal DB15 pin
1 Cable detect 5
2 Blue ret 8
3 Blue 3
4 Green ret 7
5 Green 2
6 Red red 6
7 Red 1
8 H sync 13
9 V sync 14
10 GND 10
11 SDA 12
12 SCL 15
13 V+ 9
14 GND 4, 11

Identifying connections on unknown or cut monitor cables

Post by Tomi Engdahl on Sat Oct 28, 2006 2:15 pm

Thare are no universal VGA cable colour-code pinouts. Different cable/equipment makers use different colors in their cable.
I don't have colour-code pinout specific to hp 1702.

But I have one tip: check this generic documentation on how to identify signals on VGA monitor cables:

Identifying connections on unknown or cut monitor cables
http://www.epanorama.net/documents/pc/svga_wiring.html

"The procedure is described with respec to a cut cable but if you are trying to identify an unknown connector type on the monitor"
