I saw this tip on one Finnish web site Bittisuutari:
A soldering iron tip bent to J shape can be used to solder both small and bigger works with the same tip (no needs to change soldering iron tips).
The maker of this web page got this innovation when he dropped the soldering iron one day and the tip was bent. That bent tip was proven to be useful tool later when tried on different soldering applications.
