Comments

This is a very cheap product in this product class. You can't get any desoldering iron cheaper than this. The price is a very good point on this, but this product also feels somewhat "cheap".

The look and feel on the sildering iron itself is like in the cheapest "chinese made" soldering irons.

In the use this "rubber ball" type pump is not as convient as the vacuum systems on the expensivemercial desoldering systems. The fell and workign ergonomics are much worse than in expensive professional desoldering tools. This soldering ison also lacks the temperature controlling, which means that sometimes when you keep it not used for longer time, it can get too hot for safe desoldering work on sensitive circuit boards.

But there are uses where this product can be useful. When removing thigns like ICs with many pins or connectors on circuit boards (especially from multi-layer boards), this product really beats the traditional methods like separate desoldering pump or solder wick. You don't need to do this many times, and this little gadget have earned it's price few times.

If you just occasionally need somethign better than hand operated desoldering pump and solder wick to removeponents from the circuit board, this could be a product to check out.

If you ae looking for a professional tool for every day electronics repair work, then you should look for something more professional.
