Registering needed now for posting

I have changed the permissions to post to the discussion groups.
Now you need to be a registered user to post to the newsgroups.
You don't have to be registered to read messages.

The reason for this change is the large amount of spam received
on the discussiong roups poste by Guest users.
The amount of the spam is increasong all the time.
So this had to be done to keep this system useable.

Sorry for the inconvience caused to all non-registered users.
If you have not yet registered yet, and want to use the
discussion group fully, then now it is a good time to do it.

There are still two discussion groups left "Public" so everybody can post them:
- Messages to ePanorama staff (to get feedback from everybody)
- Ground loop problems and Electrical wiring (serve also as open discussion system for Ground loop problems document section)

Let's see if those stay useable or not. If there is lot of spam getting
posted to those, I will reconsider for them also to need you to be
registered to post messages to them.

Now all groups need you to be registered used to post.

The last two open groups needed to be closed because of the great amount of spam posted to them. Tenst of spam posting per day!

IF THIS IS SO THEN WHY ARE A LOT OF THEM STILL Guest users ON HEAR AND CAN I BECOME A Moderator FOR Electronics - Design SINCE THEARS A LOT OF POST THAT ARE NOT TO BE IN THEAR???

The posting by quest users is stopped on this site.
The guest users cannot post messages through this site.

The discussion forums in "Electronics - Local Discussion Forums" group are all internal groups maintained in thsi site. Posting only allowed to registered users in this site and all posts come though this site. The posts posted to this group are noderated by the webmaster team of this site (this means deleting the posts that do not seem to belogn here at all or moving postings from one group to another when they are in wrong group).

The groups in "Electronics-#1 Usenet Newsgroups" are linked to international Usenet systems. This system is a distributed messaging system where the messages are stored to thousands of servers all over the Internet. The www.epanorama.net site is only one site where you can read the messages and post messages to it. We take the international message feed and show it in out discussion board system, and allow our users to post their own replies if they want (those posts get pposted to this site and to all other sites that run those same discussion groups). We can't control what is coming through to the Usenet system from other sites. We can just either show all the messages that get posted or not.. At this time you will see all the postings that are coming in, no filtering if the messages coming from outside sources are good or not...
