You can now play Angry Birds on the web! If you did not know earlier, let’s tell you now that Angry Birds is a puzzle video game developed by Finland-based Rovio Mobile. In the game, players use a slingshot to launch birds at pigs stationed on or within various structures, with the intent of destroying all the pigs on the playfield. Angry Birds has been praised for its successful combination of addictive gameplay, comical style, and low price. With 140 million downloads across all platforms, the game has been called “one of the most mainstream games out right now”. It is quite funny and addictive to play.
Angry Birds comes to Chrome. Google and Rovio have announced the deal to bring Angry Birds game to Chrome. Angry Birds is available in Chrome Web Store for free.

It’s all about Mars over at NASA these days, what with the Curiosity finally tootling about the planet and the agency’s Jet Propulsion Lab bagging some cash for its next Martian mission, InSight, which will drill under the surface to learn more about the planet’s geology.
Inevitably, Rovio has jumped on this bandwagon with some new settings for its ever-popular game Angry Birds.

“Angry Birds looks like an easy problem, but is actually very hard,” Renz told The Register. “You need to solve computer vision, learning and diagnosis problems to play the game. Those are some of the different sub-groups of artificial intelligence, so we [from the group] were all able to work together on the problem.”
Renz and his colleagues have created Angry Birds playing app, dubbed NAÏVE, that offers a model of the game and can play it passably well by simulating the mouse drags and clicks that launch birds. The app is a Chrome extension and the competition takes place within the Chrome Web Store version of the game. Competitors can build on NAÏVE or create their own code.
Renz hopes participants will find the best ways to solve the problem presented by each level

Somehow, for some reason, Angry Birds is going to be a movie. Continuing in the grand tradition of Mortal Kombat (the movie) and Super Mario Bros. (the movie) soon there will be a cinematic feature based on the massively successful videogame about shooting birds at things with slingshots.
The film is being produced and financed by Rovio Entertainment, which releases the Angry Birds mobile app and, according to an announcement today, will be distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment and is scheduled to hit theaters in 2016.
Unsurprisingly, the Angry Birds movie won’t be live-action, but it will be an animated 3-D feature, so there’s a good chance the flick will feature angry fowl being ejected from slingshots at your face (hopefully).

FINNISH GAME DEVELOPER Rovio has announced that its Angry Birds Star Wars game will be coming to the Playstation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One consoles later this month, along with exclusive content.
Rovio’s Star Wars themed Angry Birds game launches today on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 (PS3), Playstation Vita, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, meaning it will also be playable on the firm’s cheaper Nintendo 2DS console.

You can play Angry Birds on North Korea’s Samjiyon tablet — but the developers of the internationally popular app say they have nothing to do with it.
A spokesman for the developer said via e-mail: “Angry Birds Rio has not been localized into Korean, and Rovio Entertainment has no affiliation with the version of the game being shown on the Samjiyon tablet.” So it seems like North Korea pirated the game for its local tablet replacement.
The first news of a North Korean tablet came in the fall of 2012, when an Android-based tablet debuted at a Pyongyang, North Korea, trade show. Although very few details were available at the time, it was associated with a company called Chosun Computers.
Angry Birds Rio first appeared connected with the North Korean tablet in a review from a North Korean tourist known only as Michael earlier this year.

The Angry Birds franchise has thus far been on the lighter side of the free-to-play model – the original game launched free and ad-supported on Android, and later versions added small charges for HD versions and a few in-app bonuses like the Mighty Eagle. But it looks like Rovio is pulling out all the stops when it comes to the upcoming kart racer, Angry Birds Go
It might seem obvious from the fact that Rovio has turned Angry Birds into a world-striding colossus of a mobile franchise, but they really don’t seem to care any more. Angry Birds Go shows all the symptoms of a game and a developer that are interested in wringing as much real cash out of gamers as possible.
It’s a shame, too: Rovio delivers rock-solid games with reliably balanced mechanics, and Angry Birds Go is their most ambitious technical project to date.
