Acronym definitions

The fields of electronics, computers and telecommunications is filled with acronyms. To help in surviving on this world of acronyms I started to compile in the 1990′s my own list of acronyms, and you can find my collection of acronym definitions (over 19000 definitions) at ePanorama.net acronym search. You should be able to find most of the acronyms you are looking for here.

If you consider electronics component codes as some for of acronyms, you can also check my Electronics component information search at www.epanorama.net. It gives information on very many electronics components (the most often used older components).

I have also years ago helped in making Tiedonsiirtäjän luntti book (published 1994) that has description of most used telecom acronyms in Finnish.

When my own source of information fail, I usually turn to Acronym Finder web page. It boasts to be the world’s largest and most comprehensive dictionary of acronyms, abbreviations, and initialisms with more than 1,000,000 human-edited definitions. Combined with the Acronym Attic, Acronym Finder contains more than 5 million acronyms and abbreviations.
